Affordable Travel - Cheap Hotel Stays

Am I reading this right? Tripadvisor just listed the top ten hotels under 20 USD! Under 20 USD is that for real? That's more than affordable travel, that's down right cheap. Let's take a closer look and see what 20 bucks can get you.

Lion D'Or in Buenos Aires for a mere $14
Reviews seems to sum this up as clean, cheap and safe. So luxury seekers this is not for you, but then you're not looking for affordable travel at 14 bucks a night are you?

Tod Motor Motel in Las Vegas for $17
Mostly positive reviews but a couple that seems kind of scary so buyer be ware, sometimes you do get what you pay for. A hotel in the US for that price makes me a little wary plus I usually run the other way when I see the name "Motor" in the name of a motel (or motel for that matter).

A few more are in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. Not surprisingly at this price nothing in more developed, western destinations.
